International Pairs is the world’s largest 4BBB amateur golf tournament, providing a platform for amateur club golfers to play on a world stage.

How is the International Pairs Golf Tournament different from other amateur golf tournaments?
International Pairs is the World’s largest amateur Pairs golf tournament. It has been running for 25 years and has grown to include over 100,000 players from 27 participating countries.
What makes International Pairs unique is that it is a team event. Players compete in Pairs. The team with the lowest combined score wins. This format makes the tournament more social and fun and gives players of all skill levels a chance to compete and the opportunity to represent their Country and home Club on a World stage.
If you are an amateur golfer looking for a challenging and rewarding tournament to compete in, then International Pairs is the perfect choice for you. With its large size, unique format, and global broadcasting, International Pairs is the biggest and best amateur pairs golf tournament in the world.
Who can participate in the International Pairs Golf Tournament?
The tournament is open to any amateur club golfer with an official handicap who is a member of a Golf Club. Social golfers with a registered handicap are ineligible to enter. Players must be at least 18 years old at the time of the tournament.
How is the tournament played?
The tournament is a 4BBB stableford format. You must have a playing partner to form a Pair. You must play with the same partner throughout the season.
How many countries participate in the International Pairs Golf Tournament?
There are 27 active countries participating in the tournament.
When do the events take place?
The tournament takes place throughout the year in various countries, with each country holding its own qualifying rounds and national final.
The Australian qualifying season is 1 September to 30 August.
What is the format of the tournament?
Qualifying rounds are played as a 4 Ball Betterball Stableford format. The World Final is played in Betterball Stableford format.
How much does it cost to participate in the tournament?
Like all tournaments, there will be a cost to participate in each qualifying round, including local, Regional, State and National Finals, except where advertised the costs are covered.
In Australia the cost of participating in the local club qualifying events in the 2023/2024 season is $16 per person ($32 per Pair). The cost to play in the Regional, State and National finals will vary. Once you have qualified for the World Final, all expenses* are paid.
Payment and registration
All payments, player registration, and tee time bookings must be made at your local Club Pro shop. International Pairs Australia does not accept payments or book tee times.
How do I register for the International Pairs Golf Tournament?
To register for the International Pairs Golf Tournament, contact International Pairs Australia or your home club. You or your Club can register by completing the online registration form.
Local qualifying rounds will be held at your home Club with the support of the International Pairs Australia Team. The National Final will be organised by International Pairs Australia.
Pre-registration - What is it?
Pre-Registration is optional and is confirmation of who your playing partner will be for the qualifying event. You can change your partner at the Pro shop on the event day, unless you and your playing partner have already played in a previous qualifying round during the same season, in which case please contact us at info@aus.internationalpairsgolf.com
How do I pre-register?
You can pre-register by completing the online registration form.
Do I need to pre-register if I have already played in a qualifying round during the same season?
If you have already played in a previous qualifying round during the same season, you don’t need to register, however you must continue to play with the same playing partner.

When will the National Final be held?
The International Pairs Golf Australia Season 2 National Final will be held on Friday, 6 October 2023.

Where will the National Final be held?
The International Pairs Golf Australia Season 2 National Final will be held in Queensland on the Gold Coast.
To minimise the opportunity for a ‘local advantage, details of the course hosting the National Final event will be kept close to our chests for now. All qualifiers will be advised of the course closer to the event date.
How much does it cost to participate in the National Final?
Costs are still being finalised for Season 2 2023. All qualifying round winners will receive details as soon as possible.
Will we have an opportunity to play the course where the National Final will be held?
Yes, all qualifiers will have the chance to play the course where the National Final will be held the day before the final. This is an optional practice round and there will be a fee to participate.
What’s the prize for winning the National Final?
There will be a winning Pair from each division – Men’s, Women’s and Mixed. Each winning Pair win an all-expenses paid trip to represent Australia and their Home Club at the World with 2023 Finals hosted at Royal Obidos and Bom Sucesso in Portugal!

- Ensuring you have the necessary and valid travel documentation including passports, and requisite visas, border passes and proof of vaccinations.
Can I bring my significant other or a friend or two? Heck, bring your own cheer squad.
Yes, you can bring your significant other. The costs of bringing your partner are not included in your prize. All costs will be the responsibility of your partner.

Players, guests, and sponsors are responsible for purchasing their own travel insurance. We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance before leaving Australia.
