International Pairs Australia is proud to announce that Brisbane River Golf Club has become the most recent club to join in on the Intenational pairs Australia fun. The first Brisbane River International Pairs Qualifier took place on 31 April 2022, providing 3 pairs going through to the next stage. The pairing of Cameron Jenner & Graham Seng took first spot, with Roy Harper & Shane Evens in second place. The winners of the ladies division were Lyn Grulke & Jenni Aburn. Their brilliant golf on the day has secured them a spot into the next Australian qualifying round which may give them the opportunity to be playing for a spot in the International Pairs World Finals that will be hosted in Spain from 14-18 November 2022. Brisbane River GC will hold a series of qualifying events throughout the 2022 season, for both the men’s and ladies’ divisions. These events will give Brisbane River’s members the chance to play in regional, state and national finals. The winning pair will be given an all-expenses paid trip to the International Pairs 2022 WORLD FINAL.

“We jumped at the chance to host an International Pairs event, to give our members an opportunity to participate in such a wide reaching event that amateur golfers rarely get to do. The simplicity of being able to slot the competition in to incorporate with our normal competition schedule allowed our regular players to participate as well as drawing new players in who may not have seen the renovations we have completed to our clubhouse and course over the past year.
